Galveston County Judge Mark Henry signed an executive order Thursday lifting the outdoor burn ban in all unincorporated areas throughout the county.
The ban went into effect Aug. 6 and has been lifted because of an adequate amount of rainfall during the last several days.
The Galveston County Office of Emergency Management will continue to watch this issue closely, and if conditions warrant, may seek approval to reinstitute the ban.
All property owners are urged to always use caution and good judgment anytime they are conducting a controlled burn.
