New Improvements For County Parks

Galveston County Parks and Senior Services has been working hard all spring to get the many parks operated by the County ready for the summer.

Some of the new improvements include:

Restrooms at Carbide Park, Walter Hall Park and Jack Brooks Park have all received fresh coats of paint, new LED lighting, and new stylish partitions.

In addition, our new restroom facilities at Carbide Park and Jack Brooks Park are now complete and open to the public. They feature filtered water fountains and bottle fillers as well as stainless steel fixtures and LED lighting.

You may have also noticed new park entry signage around Galveston County as well. Crews from the Parks Department has been upgrading the signage in our parks to create a uniform look. Signs have also been added to the boat ramps too, so they are properly named and highly visible!
