Galveston County Parks and Cultural Services had a busy 2019, completing projects in parks across the county including improvements to six different parks. Projects ranged from new baseball fields on the Bolivar Peninsula and in Santa Fe to facility improvements to Walter Hall Park and Bayshore Park.
Major projects for the New Year include renovations to the Wayne Johnson Community Center that was damaged during Hurricane Harvey, the construction of the new Bolivar Beach Pavilion in Crystal Beach, new restrooms at Carbide Park and Jack Brooks Park, as well as a variety of other improvement projects.
