Get to Know More About The Galveston County Road & Bridge


The Galveston County Road and Bridge Department is responsible for over 340 miles of roads in the unincorporated part of the county as well as the accompanying lateral drainage.

This department is also responsible for the Texas City/La Marque hurricane protection levee, 20 bridges including the 7000ft long San Luis Pass Bridge, beach maintainence on Bolivar Peninsula, and the Highland Bayou diversion channel.
