Galveston County Hazard Mitigation draft plan

Galveston County and the jurisdictions of Bayou Vista, Clear Lake Shores, Friendswood, Hitchcock, Jamaica Beach, Kemah, La Marque, League City, Santa Fe, and Tiki Island have completed the planning process to update their Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan, once approved by the public, TDEM and FEMA, will allow the participating jurisdictions to remain eligible for federal assistance should a disaster impact our community.
An electronic copy of the draft plan is provided along with a survey to provide you an opportunity to share your opinions and participate in the plan review process. The information you provide will help us understand your opinion of this plan and the efforts made by the Galveston County Hazard Mitigation Council.
Thanks for your help in reviewing the plan and providing your response to the information presented through this survey. Plan developers will also be on hand to answer any questions during a public meeting on February 29, 2016, at the Galveston County Courthouse from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
